How to plan a group trip without falling out
The trickiest part of a trip with friends isn't the journey, it's the decision. Here is a simple method to choose together while respecting everyone's budget and tastes.
Talk budget before destinations
Ask everyone for a maximum figure, anonymously if needed, and start from the lowest. It stops anyone with less to spend from feeling pushed along or left out.
Fix a window of dates
Collect everyone's availability and choose a window rather than exact days: flight prices can change a lot by shifting a day or two.
Everyone proposes their destinations

Vote with points, not by majority
With 10 points each to spread, people with a strong preference can concentrate them and undecided ones can split them. The result reflects the group better than a simple yes or no.
